MySpace users in India have been offered the chance to watch new movies before they premeire in the country. The program is called MySpace’s Black Curtain Screenings.

MySpace Black Curtain

Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire is the movie on the agenda at the moment, but the Black Curtain Screenings page says that "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," and "Valkyrie" are each on the menu at different theaters across India. In fact, they even have a poll where users can vote on which one they’d like to see next.

As shown above, one of the rules is that you must have Black Curtain Screenings as your top friend, but TechTree notes that for Slumdog Millionaire, you must have that movie’s profile page in your top friends as well. I assume this principle applies to each movie.

Overall, this seems like a pretty cool program, although I would expect that there will be a lot of disappointed people who get to the theater only to find out that it has already reached maximum capacity. It would be nice if they had these screenings at more than one theater at a time. Oh yeah, and if they offered it here in Lexington, KY.
