MySpace Launches Reality Series
MySpace has partnered with Endemol to launch a new reality web series, "Get Married on MySpace."
Engaged couples wanting to Get Married on MySpace can submit videos to the series profile starting in March. MySpace users will vote on the finalists to select the bride and groom.
The series will debut on MySpace in May with the announcement of the chosen couple and wrap up in early August. Each week MySpace users will vote on two wedding details leading up to the event.
"The concept of empowering the worldwide MySpace audience to plan the most important and perhaps stressful day of one couple’s lives makes for great reality programming," said, Jason Kirk, VP of Video and Entertainment for MySpace.
"Endemol and MySpace will offer fans of Get Married on MySpace the ability to get involved and stay connected to the series, the bride and groom, and each other, in a way that no other reality series has ever done before."
Get Married on MySpace allows user to influence almost every detail of the wedding from casting the couple, selecting the bride’s dress, choosing the couple’s rings, and picking the wedding location, through ongoing voting. The series will consist of 13 webisodes, ending with a live wedding ceremony.
