  • Miley Cyrus was hospitalized this week after a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, forcing her to cancel some shows in the middle of her “Bangerz” tour, but rumors have been flying around the web that there’s another reason for her hospital stay.

After suffering through flu-like symptoms that included a fever, Cyrus had to cancel a concert in Kansas City and tweeted her apologies to fans. Soon after, word began to spread online that she’d had blood drawn in the hospital and had tested HIV positive. Fans immediately took to Twitter to share the news and try to get to the truth.

Cyrus hasn’t commented on the rumors, but has been tweeting for several days about her illness.

The Sprint Center issued a statement to let fans know that Cyrus wouldn’t be able to perform as she “has been placed on medical rest by her doctors…Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.”

The tour has been plagued by issues in recent weeks, including a tour bus fire that gutted the vehicle but miraculously left everyone unharmed. The fire started during an overnight trip to New Orleans; soon afterward, Cyrus’ sister Noah tweeted photos of the blackened bus with the caption, “Yes, everyone got out safe no one is injured what so ever!! everything is okay!!”
