  • The world can now sleep soundly. After being rushed to the hospital on Tuesday with an injury to her hand, the actress and singer has let us know that she’s OK via Twitter.

According to US Weekly, Cyrus went to the ER with her mother, grandmother, and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after sustaining a cooking injury. Apparently, her sliced her finger open while cooking and required a few stitches.

She tweeted that while alright, she did in fact need some stitches and a splint. She also blames the blender (although it’s unclear why she would stick her hand in a blender):

@MileyCyrusBz I’m all stitched up & have on a splint so I’m good. As you can tell by my expression, didn’t feel so good. Curse u blender!(image) 16 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Starfeine obtained some exclusive images and video of Cyrus at the hospital, rocking some pretty sweet facial expressions…

…and she took it as an opportunity to criticize the paparazzi:

@MileyCyrusBz as you can tell by the horrible faces I’m making I obviously didn’t know they were there. Pretty messed up following me to ER(image) 16 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

A little more digging on Twitter unearths another possible reason for the incident: a new vegan recipe book she received on Monday:

Thank you @peta for my lovely gluten free vegan cook book! Some amazing recipes!(image) 1 day ago via Twitter for iPhone ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

It’s always nice to see Twitter play in role in confirming that a celebrity is okay, as opposed to the normal trend – falsely labeling them as dead.
