Miley Cyrus Celebrates 21st Birthday

By: Kimberly Ripley - November 23, 2013

Miley Cyrus celebrates her 21st birthday on Saturday, and just one of the gifts the Wrecking Ball singer will receive is keys to the MTV channel.

Eight hours of programming about Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus’s famous daughter started at noon on Saturday and continued through 8PM. Starting with the debut of 21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments, Miley herself played host to the MTV marathon event.

Fans who tweeted birthday wishes to Miley Cyrus, using the hashtag #HappyBirthdayMiley throughout the day Saturday had a chance of being featured on MTV during her marathon birthday bash. Fans could also choose to post a videogram Instagram message. It would certainly be interesting to learn just how many tweets or Instagram video messages Miley Cyrus received for her 21st birthday, and out of those, just how many fans were featured on MTV.

Here’s a preview of Saturday’s birthday celebration for Miley Cyrus on MTV.

It will be fun–and perhaps a bit scary–to learn how Miley Cyrus spent the remainder of her 21st birthday. It likely culminated with a night on the town–and for Miley, that almost always spells some kind of trouble. Lucky for Liam Hemsworth, he no longer has to worry about the day after consequences on behalf of Miley. Now that the two are split up, the Catching Fire star needn’t sleep fitfully when Miley is out on the town.

Do you think Miley Cyrus went out for her birthday or do you suppose she spent a quiet night in with her family instead? She tweeted a photo of her beloved pets later on the 23rd, so it’s certain they were a very important part of her big day.
