Dream on holyhttp. You have no idea what you are talking about. Silverlight is compatable with Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Silverlight out performs Flash in nearly all bench tests. Silverlight is easier to use and is far more powerful in creating super rich applications. Rather than an additional programming language and syntax to learn and deal with duringi development (Action Script) Programmers of Silverlight can use .NET languages like C# that they are already familiar with and or are compatable and transferable to other types of programing. Your comments echo the thoughts of people talking about the early versions of Internet Explorer – but guess what? IE is the most highly used browser. Silverlight will lay Flash to rest.

How can Silverlight be adapted to utilize chips that are not able to to use the SSE architechture? Certainly all newer chips use it but what about people who use older chips? I have an AMD Athlon that Silverlight won’t install with. Just because newer stuff is available, doesn’t always mean that everyone is using it. What is being done about this if anything?

  3. I’m one of Expression Web user. I’m anxious for learning the new version of the program, what new features it offers.
