Megan Fox filed for divorce from Brian Austin Green on Friday. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences for the reason behind their split.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor and Megan Fox are the parents of two sons--Noah and Bodhi. Fox is seeking joint legal and physical custody of both boys.

According to a report from TMZ, the couple had no prenuptial agreement. They also report that Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox are still living in the same home together, and that their split has thus far been an amicable one.

This is certainly the summer of celebrity break-ups. In addition to Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have split up, as have Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.

One source reports that the main reason for Green and Fox's split is her desire to continue pursuing her acting career even though he would prefer she stay at home with their children.

The two met when she was just 18 years old and shooting her sitcom Hope and Faith. The couple married in Hawaii in June of 2010.

Are you surprised to learn that Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox are calling it quits? Did you have them pegged as one of those Hollywood couples whose love would last forever?
