Entitled V, this is the fifth album for the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning ensemble.

Adam Levine and crew teamed up with producers Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Sam Martin, and Shellback to create the album. Former keyboardist Jesse Carmichael also returned after going on a hiatus in 2012 to pursue more full time studies in music and the healing arts.

The album release is on the heels of the band’s new worldwide touring deal with Live Nation, which will begin this summer.

This is the first album the band will release since teaming up with Interscope Records. Previously signed with A&M/Octone, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Octone Records, the band made the move to Interscope after the Universal label Interscope Geffen A&M acquired the remaining 50 percent of the venture and its artists, with Maroon 5 as its flagship.

The Los Angeles band hopes V brings as much success as its previous albums, including 2010’s Hands All Over, with featured the hits “Misery” and “Moves Like Jagger.”

Maroon 5 received its first of three Grammy Awards in 2006 by winning the award for “Best New Artist,” after the release of its debut album Songs About Jane. Since then, the band has sold over 17 million albums worldwide, which feature releases that have gone platinum and gold in over 35 countries.

The band’s most recent album Overexposed was perhaps its most popular, as it helped the group reach a variety of milestones. “Daylight,” the third single off of the album, reached No. 1 on both the Top 40 and Hot AC radio charts. The band also set a record for the most No. 1’s by a group in the Top 40 twenty-year history, earning a total of six in all. The album’s tour was also one of the highest-grossing of 2013 with over 50 million dollars in ticket sales.

If hearing front man Levine’s swoony voice isn’t enough for you, watch the singer serve as a judge on the Emmy Award-winning show The Voice, and make his small screen acting debut on American Horror Story. You can also see Levine in the major motion picture film Begin Again, to be released June 27.
