Following the success of Seth MacFarlane's hit 2012 film Ted, he is already working on a sequel, and Mark Wahlberg will have a new romantic interest–Amanda Seyfried.
The film featured Mark Wahlberg as John Bennett, a man who has been joined throughout his life by his teddy bear named Ted. Ted has been a lifelong companion for John ever since he made a childhood wish that he would come to life, and they have been inseparable ever since, which started to cause problems in John's romantic life.
The big news came today when it was revealed that Amanda Seyfried would be the one to play John's love interest in the sequel to the hit comedy. The film is written and directed by comedic genius Seth MacFarlane, who also plays the voice of Ted.
Even while playing a teddy bear, MacFarlane's character is extremely vulgar, and is even involved in his own sexual and drug-related activities. Before making Ted, Seth MacFarlane's humor could be seen through his hit animated television comedies Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and others. Those shows are still airing on Fox, and he has another show that is coming to Fox called Bordertown.
MacFarlane's next big film is coming out this summer, and is called A Million Ways To Die In The West, which he is writing, directing, and starring in. Amanda Seyfried will also be appearing in the film, along with several other big name stars such as Neil Patrick Harris, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, and more.
While Mark Wahlberg is known for his many action roles, in addition to his two Oscar-nominated roles, which he received for The Departed and The Fighter, Amanda Seyfried has been seen in a variety of roles during her short film career. She began with a starring role in Mean Girls, and has since appeared in films such as Mamma Mia and Les Miserables, and most recently, Lovelace.
Since the end of Ted saw John finally marrying the character that was played by Mila Kunis, it is unknown whether she will be making an appearance in the upcoming film, or what type of role Amanda Seyfried will be playing.
Amanda Seyfried must not have "Died in the West" while making Seth MacFarlane's new western, as she is to star in "Ted 2". @comingsoonnet
