  • Lisa Bonet’s alleged tweet about Bill Cosby has been ruled a hoax.

Bonet, who played Cosby’s daughter Denise Huxtable on the family sitcom The Cosby Show from 1989 to 1992, reportedly posted a tweet about her former television dad, aimed at his current sexual abuse allegations.

“According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky . . . Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!” the tweet read.

The main issue with this tweet is that Bonet does not have, and has never had, a Twitter account or any other social media accounts.

“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind,” her manager told People magazine. “Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story.”

Bill Cosby is currently in the middle of an ongoing investigation regarding claims that he had sexually assaulted several women over the years. More than 15 women, including model Janice Dickinson, have come forward to accuse the comedian of sexual abuse. Cosby has denied the allegations through his lawyer.

Another member of the former Huxtable family has spoken out about the reports as well. Raven-Symoné, who played Cosby’s granddaughter on the show, took to her Instagram account to explain that Cosby never once assaulted her in any way.

“I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!” she wrote. “I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”
