Lisa Bonet, it is now known, did not make any comments about Bill Cosby and his alleged misdeeds.
Recently, the famously private star was thought to have sent a somewhat cryptic tweet that was assumed to refer to the scandal that is slowly surrounding her former on-screen father.
The tweet, from an account attributed to Lisa Bonet that has since been closed, said, “According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky … Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!”
A representative for Lisa Bonet stated that not only was the tweet not from her account, but that Bonet actually doesn’t have any social media accounts at all.
“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind,” her manager told People. “Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story.”
Her former co-star on The Cosby Show, Raven-Symone, has had to fight disturbing rumors that Bill Cosby assaulted her during her time on the show.
She said of the accusations, “I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”
