Lili Simmons, perhaps best known for her seductive turn on season one of True Detective, has reportedly joined the cast of Bone Tomahawk, which already boasts a stellar list of actors.

Simmons will take the female lead as Samantha O’Dwyer, opposite Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Sean Young, Sid Haig, and David Arquette in the tale of four men who must rescue the unfortunate souls who are taken by a group of cannibals. The film has been called a "violent" Western and is highly anticipated in the horror community, but has seen some changes since it was first announced. An earlier cast roster included Peter Sarsgaard, Richard Jenkins and Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter.

Simmons can currently be seen on the Cinemax show Banshee, and recently tweeted a sneak preview of the third season, which premieres in 2015.

The star is popular on Instagram, where she has nearly 11,000 followers.
