Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have been spending some time together and it has "Miam" fans going wild with happy speculation that a reconciliation may be the works.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like the once-engaged couple will not be getting back together.

After a recent report that the pair have been meeting in secret in Los Angeles, fans started to wonder if they were reconciling. However, E! News reports that the two remain good friends, but that's as far as it goes.

"They've always stayed in touch," an insider told E! News.

"They are not likely to reconcile," said a second source. "They have moved on but are still friends. They still care about each other, but it's not romantic."

Cyrus confirmed that they still care for each other. In fact, in an interview with Australia's Sunday Night, Cyrus said "I love Liam ... Liam loves me."

Bangerz is a very personal album and gives some insight into her feelings following the end to their engagement on Sept. 16, 2013.

"It's about finding yourself, and sometimes you have to separate yourself from everyone," Cyrus said of the song Wrecking Ball. "I just had to become this person who is sitting in this chair right now. If I didn't, I just felt like there was something that was going to explode and I had to set myself free."

According to E! News, the breakup was "Miley's decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her."
