Country singer Leann Rimes is looking to be a big part of the holiday season this year. The star has a new Christmas album out and will be spreading her holiday cheer across the U.S. this year with a new tour.
To emphasize her holiday spirit Rimes recently released several pictures on her Instagram account showing her enjoying some early holiday festivities. One shows her with husband Eddie Cibrian and her two stepsons at recently-decorated shopping center The Grove in Los Angeles. Another has her baring her tongue and a bit of leg in front of a Christmas tree during a photo shoot for country music magazine Country Weekly. A third shows another angle and outfit in front of the Christmas tree for the Country Weekly shoot.
On October 28 Rimes released a new album titled ONE Christmas- Chapter 1. It includes both holiday staples and a few offbeat songs. The track listing includes songs such as "Silent Night Holy Night," "I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas," and "Hard Candy Christmas."
The album is the first in a three-chapter series of albums that Rimes has planned. ONE Christmas - Chapter 2 is planned for release in 2015 and the third chapter should be out in 2016.
In conjunction with the album, Rimes is setting off on a short U.S. concert tour. Her first tour date is December 3, when she will sing at Rockefeller Center in New York as part of the center's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Other tour dates include Englewood, New Jersey on December 13; Manhattan, Kansas on December 16; St. Charles, Illinois on December 18; and Windsor, Ontario on December 20.
