Leah Remini Called A Bigot by Kirstie Alley

Leah Remini was bashed by former fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley, who called this season’s Dancing With the Stars contestant and former King of Queens star a bigot. The two have engaged in a bit of a war of words since Remini left the Church of Scientology and spoke out about its practices several times.

Alley appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday and called out Leah Remini on comments she made recently while a guest on The View.

Remini explained to Barbara Walters that she faced many repercussions for having left the organization, including severing ties with many people she loved.

“You’re not shunned, you’re not chased. All that’s just (expletive),” Alley said to Stern on Wednesday. “I want everyone to know I have hundreds of friends and people that I know that have come into Scientology and left Scientology. When you are generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group … when you decide to blanket statement that Scientology is evil, you are my enemy.”

“She’s a bigot,” Alley added.

You can check out Howard Stern’s interview with Kirstie Alley for yourself.

Alley doesn’t seem to be getting much support from Twitter followers.

It will be interesting to learn if the name calling ends on Kirstie Alley’s behalf. She admitted she hadn’t even seen Leah Remini for years, so it seems strange she’d take such a hard stance on the subject of Leah speaking her mind about the Church of Scientology.

Do you think Leah Remnini is telling the truth about the Church of Scientology and Kirstie Alley is trying to save face for the organization or is Leah Remini bashing where bashing isn’t due? If Twitter serves as any kind of scorecard, it seems more people are siding with Leah Remini.

so let me get this straight, one fatso nutcase scientologist is calling another Fatso nutjob self absorbed scientologist a bigot??? I think Kirstie ATE her career, along with all her cheers money.

Field: The lesson I get from this is that Scientology can’t help people lose weight!

I think Leah is cute she just needs to lose 20 pounds!

    • BeckerHead

      are you overweight?

It is sad the Kirstie has chosen to go this route. It is apparent that anyone that chooses to leave Scientology is forever shunned, which is a form of bigotry in itself. I just hope the Leah remains a lady and does not respond the Kirstie’s accusation. Oh, and BTW, she did hire Michael Richards to costar in her flop of a comedy show and we all remember his racial rantings. Just saying…..

Why get so upset if Scientology is not really a religion as told by Tom Cruise I believe when backed in a corner about it?? We all know that there is a lot more going on with it being so secretive!!!!

    • sidney

Scientology ease dropped on Tom Cruise & John Travolta’s homosexual & heterosexual Sexual intercourse & sexual activity!!

Welcome to this blog where people don’t have a clue about what they are talking about.
This blog is specifically for rumor mongering, critical thoughts especially falsehoods and something that shows your stupidity & ignorance.
DO NOT EVER read any book from Scientology itself. You would be informing yourself instead of repeating what you hear in the news and know nothing about. This would disqualify you from blogging here. ONE LAST NOTE: Scientology is SO secretive that you can go into any library or bookstore or the church itself and buy a book or look at a short video to get actual answers to questions you have.

At face value the church of scientology looks like a self improvement miracle. Dig deeper and hold on to your wallet cuzz it becomes VERY EXPENSIVE to continue your discovering…becoming “Clear”. Check out the compound in Gilman Springs, Ca. Don’t cross the property lines though….security immediately! As long as you don’t question authority, you’ll probably do ok. Very proud of Leah’s courage.

Everyone chooses their religion for a reason. They also choose to leave for a reason. I think Kirstie is a little out there myself and just trying to get spotlight for herself. I think much of what Leah says is more than likely true.

Okay, this subject has reached its useful life. Who cares?

  • Deborah

A bigot??Really??? It IS a bit strange that Kirstie Alley would choose to all of a sudden come out of the woodwork to bash Leah. I have NO doubt that Leah’s comments were on the wrong side of someone in Scientology, and now they’re trying to bully Leah into silence by the use of the big blow-hard, Kirstie…. A little bullying anyone??

I guess you find out who your friends really are and who really cares about you when you leave a cult. It’s a fact! When you quit giving them fame and your money they shun you. Any cult/religion that teaches you to stay away from love ones and friends because they aren’t a member and don’t believe is not out for your best interest, just theirs! The law of the land is love thy neighbor and honor thy father. The enormous amount of people that have left the cult all make the same claims. So Kirstie, blow it out your a*s. See what happens if you ever leave.

  • CountyGirl2

What, did Kirstie run out of Fritos or neighborhood children to eat. She is such a low class, ignorant cow–didn’t like her as a size 6 don’t like he as size 26. Go home–no one cares.

oh hell nah, kirstie or what ever her name is,has allowed the most racist ass on her show richards, she the bigit i don’t her at all..leash is a real woman,a true woman..so check your self kirstie before allowing things to slip out your mouth..

Scientology is full of nut jobs and brainwashed morons. I used to live right by Ft Harrison Blvd in Clearwater, Fl., headquarters of Scientology. All the nut cases would be dressed like little blue clones, walking around their buildings, doing God only knows what, all day. They give everything they own to Scientology, and then work for free, and get room and board, and their little blue outfits, I guess. They give all that, and for what???

  • Bobart Lapski

Leah Remini is fully qualified to talk about the cult of Scientology. Kirstie Alley, she’s a boneheaded lemming who apparently doesn’t like the 1st amendment.

I wonder what gave Bobart Lapski the idea to use a small short-tailed furry footed rodent as a comparative for Kirstie Alley? Needless to say, I liked it.

This is nonsense! I wonder how would Mr. L Ron Hubbard feel about his ideology being twisted and used in such a way that it divides people instead of uniting them? There are the scientologists and the rest of society who are outsiders. People are mundane and for these two to air their personal disputes using the Broadcast media is childish, even foolish! Girls, get a life!

  • Scott Turner

Kirstie, you ignorant cow! Scientology is a science fiction story made up by L Ron Hubbard in the ’50’s. It is NOT a religion any more than Buck Rogers or Lost in Space are religions. You idiot Hollywood dupes are SO gullible and spritually bankrupt that you’ll fall for anything. Get out of the cult before it’s too late.

Now Christie Ally sounds like coo coo the bird woman. She’s the perfect mouthpiece for coo coo the birdman who started scientology in the first place. Read up on him if you want to educate yourself Christie.
