  • Laura Prepon, best known to us children of the 90’s as Donna Pinciotti of That 70’s Show, was spotted having a private white dress fitting at Bergdorf Goodman earlier this week. Wedding rumors ensued with vigor, of course.

Well, it turns out that the Orange is the New Black actress is actually preparing to host Bella New York City magazine’s All White Party in the Hamptons on July 26th. That makes a lot more sense than a preparation for 34-year-old Laura Prepon to walk the almighty aisle.

Laura Prepon has recently rocketed into the spotlight after several small roles on TV shows including October Road, House, MD, Castle and How I Met Your Mother. Her incredibly popular role on Orange is the New Black has definitely redefined her career and has even changed the way she looks at herself.

Laura Prepon said of her co-stars, “All the women on the show are different shapes, sizes, colors and creed – everything! You really embrace who you are, your curves and everything … So if anything on this show, it’s the most comfortable I’ve ever been because all of us just really embrace who we are. It’s wonderful.”

She doesn’t even seem to be seriously dating anyone, though earlier this year she was linked to Tom Cruise. However, the two have apparently never even met. Funny how those things get started…

“It’s just so funny that, when people don’t know, they just make stuff up … apparently I’m dating Tom Cruise right now,” Prepon said during an interview after the rumors of their “romance” ran wild. “And apparently he doesn’t want me doing the show because I portray a lesbian and I’m a Scientologist. This is false; where are they even getting this stuff? It’s unbelievable to me.”

Well, that’s the way it goes when you are famous, I guess. Good luck to Laura Prepon on her continuation with Orange is the New Black!
