Landlord Whipped Tenant For Being Late On Rent

As many of us enter the adult world of car insurance and rent, we sometimes find ourselves lacking in funds and get behind on bills. It happens to the best of us, no matter how responsible we try to be. But the flip side of that is facing the consequences, which at best can destroy a credit score and at worst can lead to being kicked out onto the street. For one renter, however, the “worst” was being spanked with another man’s belt.

A 29-year old man says his landlord whipped him with a belt across his bare backside when he failed to cough up rent, and the landlord has been charged with assault.

53-year old Ron Kronenberger admitted to the whipping and reportedly told his tenant, “If you’re going to act like a child, I’m going to treat you like one,” before making him bend over a desk in his office to take his punishment. He says the tenant owed $2,800 in rent.

The man said he agreed to the whipping because he was “scared and wanted to get it over with”. Kronenberger is due in court today in Warren County, Ohio; no word yet on whether the tenant will be forced to hand over the dough.
