Lamar Odom might be in an iffy position when it comes to his marriage with Khloe Kardashian, but he has been the perfect son-in-law to Bruce Jenner.

Lamar Odom has been very supportive of Bruce Jenner during his transition from male to female.

While Bruce Jenner worried about hurting his children with the process he would have to go through, he could always count on Lamar Odom.

A source close to Lamar Odom and the Jenner/Kardashian clan expanded on the friendship that Lamar Odom shares with Bruce Jenner.

The source said, “Lamar’s been in constant communication with Bruce throughout his transition process and has been nothing short of the perfect son-in-law. He’s been to Bruce’s house several times since he’s moved there to check on him and make sure he was feeling alright.”

The source continued, “Lamar sees Bruce as a ‘father figure’ and respects all the advice and wisdom Bruce has given him over the years. He admires Bruce and thinks that if it’s his life’s quest to be a woman, then by all means, he should do it. Lamar’s incredibly supportive of Bruce and his transition. It takes a big man to live in his truth and Lamar thinks Bruce will be very happy in his new life.”

Lamar Odom’s relationship with Bruce Jenner seems more stable and less complicated than the relationship with his wife, Khloe.

The source added, “Lamar just wants Bruce to know that at the end of the day, he can count on him. Lamar wants to be that bedrock of love and support to Bruce, just as Bruce was to him when he was battling substance abuse and his marriage was falling apart. He told Bruce ‘I love you’ and ‘I’ve got your back if you need anything.'”

Perhaps Lamar Odom should have tried a little more of that language with his wife before his marriage fell apart amid his days-long disappearances and rumors of his alleged mistresses.

Maybe Lamar Odom will get a chance to offer this kind of support to Khloe since the couple is rumored to be back together and going to counseling.

Who knows, perhaps Lamar Odom has a few redeeming qualities. He sure seems to be a good son-in-law.
