  • Kim Richards opened up about her relapse last spring and her current sobriety with Brandi Glanville during a recent podcast of Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who is 51, was arrested for shoplifting and for public intoxication earlier this year. Richards has since been sentenced to attend 52 meetings with Alcoholics Anonymous, which she is finding to be very beneficial.

“Everything’s good. Just enjoying life, really, truly. It’s a good time for me right now,” Kim Richards told her friend.

Brandi Glanville dished about no longer starring on RHOBH, and spoke for both herself and Kim Richards when she said, “It’s relaxing for us. We’re not so stressed out with everything we would normally be stressed out about. We wake up with smiles on our faces and we don’t have to deal with the drama.”

“One day at a time, sometimes one minute at a time,” Kim Richards tells Brandi Glanville of her sobriety progress. “I’m living in the now, living in the present. If I look too far back or too far forward, it’s kind of crazy and I get fearful. Living in the present for me is just the best way, and the only way for me.”

Last year’s RHOBH story line featured the turbulent relationship Kim Richards and sister Kyle Richards were experiencing.

A recent Instagram post proves the two have likely made great strides since then.

“Spent some fun?quality❤️time with my sister @kylerichards18 ….Life is Good?” Kim Richards captioned the photo of herself with her sister.

While it certainly sounds like Kim Richards is on a happy and healthy path, it is always a struggle for those who suffer from alcohol addiction. Hopefully she will continue to attend her AA meetings and rely on close friends like Brandi Glanville as sounding boards.
