  • Kim Kardashian and her family aren’t saying much about the birth of her baby girl, but have confirmed that she was born over the weekend and that both she and mama are doing fine.

Kim wasn’t due until mid-July–right around the same time Duchess Kate Middleton is due–and giving birth that early can be dangerous for the baby; however, there are reportedly no health problems at this time. The reality star and her family are keeping everything shrouded in secrecy for now, but some–like Khloe and Kris–took to Twitter on Sunday to talk about the birth, however briefly. And despite getting the best Father’s Day gift ever, Kanye hasn’t said anything at all. He has been famously reluctant to thrust the baby into the limelight the Kardashians share and once said, “Like, this is my baby. This isn’t America’s baby.”

Kris made an appearance at the Daytime Emmys on Sunday and commented on her daughter’s new arrival, saying she was “extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby and she’s doing great and she’s beautiful.”

Kim had to visit the hospital in March after an issue arose with the pregnancy, but it wasn’t reported just what happened. Khloe wrote a blog post for their fans afterward, assuring them that Kim and the baby were okay.

“A lot of you have expressed concern in the recent hours about Kim, and I just wanted to let you all know that mommy and baby are doing fine and just taking it easy right now. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful fans and loved ones for your concern and support. We love you!” she wrote.
