Kim Cattrall: 'Sex And The City' Star Will Be A Guest Editor On BBC Radio 4’s 'Woman’s Hour'

Kim Cattrall, 59, famously known as man-eating Samantha Jones from Sex and the City, will be one of the special guest editors of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

On September 14, 10am-11am, Cattrall will be the first guest editor alongside Jane Garvey. Cattrall will be discussing her choice not to have children, and will also be talking about themes on ageing, loss, and being single later in life.

Kim Cattrall opened up about not giving in to pressure from others to take on motherhood. She will be sharing more in the Woman’s Hour.

"Last year we had a great response to our guest editors and I'm really pleased that we've been able to secure five more inspiring women who will each bring a fresh outlook and ideas to the Woman's Hour team,” said Woman's Hour editor Alice Feinstein

Woman's Hour takeover week will be from Monday September 14 to Friday September 18.

Kim Cattrall’s co-guest editors include controversial entrepreneur Michelle Mone, female genital mutilation (FGM) campaigner Nimco Ali, Bishop of Gloucester Rachel Treweek and children's author Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

Last year, JK Rowling, Doreen Lawrence, Kelly Holmes and Naomi Alderman were guest editors for a week.

Since Kim Cattrall’s role as Samantha Jones in Sex and the Cityin ended in 2004, she has appeared in the Old Vic’s production of Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird of Youth at London’s Royal Court.

For this month, aside from Kim Cattrall’s appearance in Woman’s Hour, she will also have a TV role on the Sky Arts network's, Ruby Robinson.

Kim Cattrall will be playing the title role of a woman living in a shabby old house with a troupe of acrobats. Ruby Robinson, Kim Cattrall’s comedy show is described as "an unusual, comic morality tale featuring mime, acrobatics and jaw-dropping feats of movement."
