  1. Too many people get over excited by keyword density, if you do things in a natural manner it is easy. If you were writing an article on the volvo v70 and mentioned the word in every other sentence the article would be poor. If you wrote an article and mentioned the term 3 or 4 times, it would read naturally and believe it or not search engines would like it, it really is not rocket science.

  2. This was really helpful and informative post, but one question, does meta data keyword, description or title tag do matters ???

  3. Focus with head title, page description and meta keyword content to get high seo..

  4.  and Remember to collection one way links to your blog because that’s very sensitif with your seo..

  5.  Like it was said earlier, well written.  Very good.

  6. thanks wayne…

Most website owners talk about their most important keywords, but very few really do anything about them.

Those often overlooked search terms, that are so important to a website’s placement in the search rankings, are a vital component of any search engine optimization (SEO) effort.

Without keywords for the search engines to index, there is literally nothing to find in the search engine results pages (SERPs). Keywords are the function of the search engines. As a result of those searches, the your most important keywords are what lead potential customers to your web pages Take care of your keywords, and they will take care of you.

  7. Yes I do have to agree with the rest. Very useful article.
What I dont understand is the on and off pages.

Should I have the main page as a static for example and off pages as where I do have the content?

    Thanks!

  8. Does anyone out there know of any good keyword density checking tools that are either free or not too expensive??

    • If you want to check the key word density for your site go to rankingtoday.com They check it for free.

  9. our gumballs page on our site has a very high density for the word “gumballs” so do many of our other competitors… in this case … dropping the density to 2% actually was tried by our seo gurus and hurt the ranking massively :-( so then we returned the page to the way it was…

any comments on that would be appreciated…

    Amer.

  10. Great post. I agree with the conclusions. In my experience, 3 to 5% of the text should be keywords, otherwise Google is penalising you for keywordstuffing. When I write a new post I actually count the keywords in my post before posting to my blog Google Adsense Tips .

    Thanks

    Mike
