Frank Underwood himself will be headlining the Interactive Advertising Bureau's Mixx Conference next month, the IAB announced.
Kevin Spacey will will deliver a keynote address on September 30th, with a "special presentation discussing how digital platforms are transforming the way that artists and content creators thrive in today’s entertainment landscape."
If you'll recall, Spacey gave a tremendous presentation about the media landscape last year at the Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
The IAB says Spacey's address will keep with its theme for this year's conference, which is, "Digital’s Renaissance Moment: Art, Beauty and Human Emotion in Marketing". The bureau says it will "serve as a guidepost for exploring how brands, creatives and publishers can partner to change hearts and minds by inspiring and motivating consumers."
Katie Couric will be there too (on the 29th), as will AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, and other high-level execs from major media companies.
“Great marketing has always had the ability to touch people – and compel them to act,” said IAB President and CEO Randall Rothenberg. “Considering the wealth of creative opportunities afforded by digital, interactive marketing not only has power to uphold these timeless principles, but to drive them to new heights. And, this impressive roster of IAB MIXX Conference speakers is sure to tackle the issues that we need to address today in order to ensure a vibrant future across the digital ecosystem.”
Spacey will no doubt help get some butts in the seats. It's unclear whether he'll be showing up with BBQ or not.
Earlier in September, Spacey will be headlining Content Marketing World.
