  • Kelly Osbourne grew up very much in the public eye, and as the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, it’s always been more or less expected that she would be a little wild and tattooed, with multi-hued hair and a kiss-my-ass attitude. Hell, it’s practically her right as the kid of rock royalty. But now, she says she’s grown up, and the ink she got when she was younger doesn’t make sense to her anymore. That’s why she’s having quite a bit of it removed.

“I was miserable and I just went and got all these tattoos and I don’t know why. One of them is a keyboard and I don’t even know how to play a piano!” Osbourne said in a 2009 interview. “As you get older, you realize that you don’t want to be defined by your tattoos, because that’s not the type of person that I am.”

The laser removal of her ink is something she’s been thinking about for a long time, so it’s not a decision she jumped into lightly.

“I met with my dermatologist and I’ll start the laser treatment as soon as I have time,” she said in 2010. “It will take several months, and while I’m not looking forward to the pain, I’ve heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo.”

The 29-year old began with a keyboard tattoo on her arm and shot video of some of the removal process before uploading it to Instagram.

“I did the crime I am now doing the time! #NoPainNoGain!” she wrote.
