  • Katy Perry blew past Taylor Swift this year, and is now Forbes’ highest paid woman in music. Taylor Swift placed second on the list.

“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Katy Perry told Forbes last year. “I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”

Katy Perry grabbed it by its balls, all right. And she held on tight for the ride of her life.

Just below Katy Perry and Taylor Swift in the number one and two spots on Forbes’ Highest-Paid Women in Music List is Fleetwood Mac. Lady Gaga is in fourth place, and Beyonce is at the number five spot.

So how much did Katy Perry make this year to put her at the top of this coveted list? The “Firework” singer earned $135 million. Taylor Swift earned $80 million, with Fleetwood Mac bringing in $59.5 million, and Beyonce $54.5 million.

Forbes hints that Katy Perry shouldn’t get too comfortable in that number one spot, however. Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour is grossing more than $4 million per city, meaning she could give Katy Perry a run for her money–literally–when it’s time to tabulate scores for next year’s list.
