  • Kate Upton burst into our collective consciousness with that infamous Carl’s Jr. commercial, and she’s been busy in the last year as one of the most famous faces of Sports Illustrated. Now, she’s set her sights on acting, and recently she spoke about what her first experience on set was like.

The swimsuit model stars in the upcoming film “The Other Woman” with Cameraon Diaz and Leslie Mann and says the ladies welcomed her to the shoot with open arms.

“I was on set with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann and they were the most inspirational and amazing women I had the honor to work with,” she said. “They were really helpful in my experience with the movie, and I really appreciated all of their advice and all of their encouragement throughout the movie set.”

The film is about a woman (Diaz) who finds out her boyfriend has been anything but truthful about his love life and is actually married, with another woman on the side. She eventually teams up with his wife (Mann) and Upton’s character to exact revenge. Upton says she formed a tight bond with the other two women during filming.

Upton’s mother, Shelley, gushed about her daughter in a recent Allure interview, talking about how proud she is that Kate has moved past the pressure that comes with celebrity to have so much success in everything she does.

“She really is just so enthusiastic about everything. And when she’s excited about something, she gives it her best,” said Upton. “I just am so proud about how she has handled all the pressure that goes along with all the successes that are amazing as well. She seems to take it in stride and doesn’t seem to be inhibited at all.”
