Kate Hudson and frontman for the English band Muse, Matt Bellamy, are rumored to have married in secret.
Goldie Hawn, the actress's mother, let the news slip in an interview with the London Evening Standard's ES magazine.
Hawn said that her daughter's decision is fine with her, "When my daughter Kate married an English rock star [Matt Bellamy] it didn't worry me; all that matters is that the relationship is a good one. What people do is not necessarily who they are," she continued.
She went on to say that she believes her children are very good parents, "My kids are fantastic with their children, they have an amazing parental ethic and I'm very proud of them for that."
Their engagement was announced in April 2011. The couple is in their early thirties and they welcomed their son, Bing, last July.
Apparently Kate has a thing for musicians; she was previously married to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2007. They have an eight-year-old son, Ryder.
Despite her mother's claims, a friend of Kate's says that the couple did not formally exchange vows. The insider pointed out Hawn has been with her partner, actor Kurt Russell, for decades and refers to him as her husband, even though they have never wed.
Could Hawn have meant that her daughter was married to Bellamy in a spiritual sense?
