Kate Gosselin has been announced as one of the contestants on the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice, which premieres on January 4.

Gosselin was reportedly seen selling pies in New York earlier this year as part of filming for the show, but it's unclear how far into the competition she made it. The new season will begin just weeks after new episodes of Kate Plus 8 will air on TLC. The show--which followed Kate, her ex-husband Jon, their twin girls and sextuplets--went off the air in 2011, but after a "where are they now" episode garnered good ratings, the network announced they would check back in with the family.

Gosselin will appear on the show with Kevin Jonas, reality star Brandi Glanville, Ian Ziering, and Gilbert Gottfried, among others. Joan Rivers made an appearance on two episodes before she passed away, as well.

Gosselin has participated in other reality ventures in the past, including Dancing With The Stars, and while she's taken criticism for it, she says she does what she has to do to support her large family. Jon Gosselin, it was reported recently, is having financial troubles and was allegedly evicted from his home.

“Hear me very clearly, if there was another way to singly support eight children, you would not know this name and I would be on an island, and so would they. You would never hear from us again,” Kate said.
