The infamous Kardashian family has just signed a deal with their home network E! to keep their show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians", on for another three years; the 18-episode seventh season begins in mid-may.
For those thinking that the family was a fly-by-night sensation, it's not going to be that easy to get rid of them. The show averaged 3 million viewers an episode in it's last season and has spun off several successful shows, including "Khloe And Lamar" and "Kourtney and Kim Take New York". It hasn't been reported yet if the contract renewal will involve any more spinoffs, but the possibility is not being ruled out. Such a vulgar topic as money hasn't been discussed publicly, but the rumor is that the family stands to make about $40 million.
Last season saw Kim's huge wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries, which ended in a rather quick divorce, leading E! to fend off rumors that the whole thing was staged to get ratings. Kim is now linked to rap star Kanye West, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out on the show.
E! and the Kardashians signed a deal for 3 more seasons of their show. Sorry Earth, but the Death Star will now have to act.
The Kardashians will get $40 MILLION to keep doing their TV show. That's a dollar for every arm hair
Cash Cab gets canceled but the Kardashians still have a show. Way to go America.
