Kanye West: Is He Really Buying Kim 10 Burger Kings?By: Daryl Nelson - March 30, 2014
By now it’s no surprise that rapper and producer Kanye West likes to do things big, because sonically he chooses huge sounds that have taken hip hop music from the nightclub to the arena, and he pretty much did that single-handedly.
And when it comes to other things he does, West uses that same I-want-to-shock-you-approach.
I mean, just look at how he proposed to his fiance Kim Kardashian. He rented out an entire baseball stadium for her, had a full orchestra playing, and snuck her family to the proposal so she could celebrate with them.
And since then, many have probably wondered what he’ll do for Kardashian after they walk down the aisle, because if the proposal was so left field, his wedding gift should be absolutely amazing.
According to a source for the Daily Star, West purchased a string of Burger Kings for his soon-to-be-wife, and the restaurants will be spread all throughout Europe. The source says the rapper went with a business idea for a gift instead of something more conventional, like jewelry, because he wanted to extend Kardashian’s business reach.
“As always, Kanye is thinking outside of the box when it comes to gifts for Kim,” said the source.
“She owns all the jewels anyone could ever want, so he is taking the practical route by investing in businesses for her instead. He knows the fast food industry is reliable and lucrative, plus BK is international, so he thinks it’s the perfect fit for Kim.”
But not so fast. A Burger King rep said there’s currently no deal in place between the fast food chain and West, but that could either mean the deal is being kept under wraps or the whole thing is just a rumor.
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see what the rapper gives Kardashian for a wedding gift and it’ll be even more interesting to see how the wedding is ultimately put together, because best believe it won’t be small, since subtly isn’t West’s strongest attribute. And that’s clearly why he’s been such a successful artist for the past 10 years or so.
