Justin Bieber recently lost a beer shotgunning contest, and his excuse might have some people up in arms.

The "What Do You Mean?" singer was in Las Vegas with some friends when he challenged one of them to a beer shotgunning content, only to learn rather quickly he simply couldn't keep up.

It was via Instagram that Justin Bieber shared not only a video clip of the beer drinking event, but his excuse for losing as well.

"I lost but I didn't go to college @sammy," Justin captioned the clip.

Will college students dislike Justin Bieber's comment about beer drinking?

Not likely.

Most college students would consider the humorous jab a badge of honor.

Justin Bieber has worked hard to repair his bad-boy image that came from a couple of years of bad choices. Drinking beer--now that he's 21--isn't too big a deal, provided he doesn't get carried away.

These days Justin is concerned with creating a much better image for himself and with relaunching his music career. So far the first two singles released, "What Do You Mean?" and "Where Are U Now?" are indicative of a very successful relaunch.

Do you think Justin Bieber is en route to the success he had before he damaged his reputation? Even though he didn't win at drinking beer, it looks like his relaunched career will, in fact, be a winner.
