Justin Bieber fan Tobias Strebel, who has spent upwards of $100,000 to look like the pop star, is reportedly missing and has been for about a week.
Strebel was last seen on August 18 in West Hollywood and hasn't been in contact with his friends and family, something they say is cause for concern.
"This is very unusual for him to be missing. He hasn't done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything," Strebel's friend Mel Espinoza said.
Strebel is perhaps best known for his appearance on the reality television show Botched, which tells the true stories of people who have spent thousands on plastic surgery with less-than-perfect results. According to Tobias--who is an aspiring musician himself--Justin Bieber's physical appearance is the "whole package".
Friends and family are urging anyone with information about Strebel's whereabouts to contact the Los Angeles Police Department at (213)-972-2976.
Justin Bieber, meanwhile, has been busy cleaning up legal battles and appearing at music festivals. On Sunday night he teased the crowd at the Billboard Hot 100 Fest by asking if they wanted to hear some new music and then throwing out old tracks, although he finished the show with a Skrillex duet of "Where Are You Now".
Justin Bieber was the topic of quite a lot of conversation during a recent Selena Gomez interview, where she spoke in depth for the first time about their relationship and why the media made things so hard for them.
“It’s difficult for people to separate us. The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it,” Selena said. “I didn’t think I was doing anything bad by falling in love,” Selena said. “There’s such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it’s good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager — it makes it more difficult.”
