John Travolta Sued By Man Claiming To Be Lover
A man who worked as John Travolta’s pilot for six years and claims they had a steamy love affair is suing the actor after Travolta’s lawyers tried to hush him up by bringing up a confidentiality agreement that he allegedly signed when his employment ended.
Doug Gotterba went public with the affair to the National Enquirer recently and says he was sent a threatening letter by Travolta’s lawyer, Marty Singer.
“Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed,” Singer said.
But Gotterba insists he only signed a termination agreement and never agreed to confidentiality, which would have bound him from talking about his employment during the years 1981-1987. He says that while their relationship ended just before Travolta married wife Kelly Preston, Travolta confided in him that he still preferred men.
Travolta has had several allegations thrown his way this year concerning gay affairs and has been embattled in legal issues since at least the spring, when two massage therapists accused him of inappropriate behavior while under their care.
