Joey and Rory Feek recently celebrated the 22-month birthday of their daughter Indiana. Joey Feek has terminal cancer and is at home under hospice care. They celebrate many milestones that others might overlook, since they don't know if she'll make it to Indiana's actual first birthday.
Rory Feek has blogged his way through his wife's cancer journey. Joey and Rory's strong Christian faith shines through in each of his entries.
Following the family's celebration of Indiana turning 22-months old, Rory posted pictures to the Joey and Rory official Facebook page.
Just a couple of days after the birthday celebration, Joey and Rory Feek--along with little Indiana--had a very special visitor.
Joey and Rory are now praying--as are their family members, friends, and fans--that Joey lives to see this one last Christmas.
"Joey's hope never fades. No amount of pain or medicine can touch it. It runs too deep. It’s connected to her faith in God," Rory wrote in a blog post a while back. "And as she will tell you, God can do anything."
Joey and Rory Feek comprise the country/bluegrass duo known as Joey + Rory. They received their first Grammy Award nomination just a couple of weeks ago, prompting Joey to add a new goal to her list. She previously said she prayed to live until Valentine's Day, so she could see the release of the couple's new album. The Grammy Awards are a day later on February 15. The Joey + Rory singer is now determined to live until then--at least.
Joey and Rory probably don't know the message of hope and faith they are conveying to others, as they walk through this terrible trial with strength and grace.
