  • Jessica Simpson is planning to take her fashion business to the next level.  Her company, which sells apparels, shoes, accessories and fragrances is now adding active wear called Jessica Simpson: Warm Up.

Simpson and her mother, Tina Simpson, believe releasing her own line of active wear is important to improve their brand. Tina is also the brand’s creative director.

The pop singer’s mother told WWD, “Whatever was going on in Jessica’s life at the time, we said we should be there. We had been looking at active for a bit, trying to find the right partner. Jessica works out every day – pretty much an hour-and-a-half every day.”

Simpson’s athletic apparel will feature special type of leggings, sports jackets and beautifully designed sports bras. The price of the active wear ranges from $24 to $49.The workout apparel will be available at Macy’s at the end of October.

This year also marks the tenth year anniversary of her brand which was launched in 2005.

With her fashion business expanding, fans are wondering just how much Jessica Simpson is worth. From what Celebrity Net Worth had learned, the fashion entrepreneur has a net worth of $150 million.

A big chunk of her income came from her fashion line, so it is not surprising her net worth is high, despite the fact that she has not been very active in the music industry. Plus, Simpson knows her customers well and she keeps improving her brand to satisfy them.

Her mom revealed they always visit and inspect their stores, once a month. Tina went on, “We make sure the merchandise looks good and that we are getting the attention we want on the [sales] floors.”

The 35-year-old pop star said she makes “all the decisions” because she is passionate about her brand.

“I really believe in it,” said Simpson.
