Jessica Biel dished recently about fine jewelry, saying that she never really owned any decent jewelry until she treated herself to a pair of diamond earrings when she was a freshman in college. Before that it was friendship bracelets all the way. She also reminisced about hubby Justin Timberlake’s earlier days when he wore earrings a lot and said if he returned to that style she wouldn’t mind at all.

“I got my ears pierced when I was three,” Biel, told PEOPLE at the 2014 Tiffany & Co. Blue Book party in New York. “I don’t know why my mother did that at such an early age. It’s really not synonymous with her style to do something like that, but I’m glad she did.”

She says girls shouldn’t be the only ones to have fun “rocking bling,” so if Justin wants to bring his earrings back (he has already brought Sexy Back) she’s down with that, too.

“He wore earrings when he was a teenager, but I haven’t seen him wear them in a long time,” she says. “He can wear whatever he wants. He looks good in anything! If guys are confident and it’s who they are and they’re not putting something on just to be cool, I say go ahead, wear them. Good for you.”

Jessica Biel was stunning at the Tiffany & Co. event, in her black Oscar de la Renta dress with its plunging neckline. She accessorized it with a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace and earrings from the jeweler’s Blue Book collection. She was even spotted taking a selfie at one point during the evening.

What do you think about men wearing earrings? Is it sexy or should they leave the look for the ladies? Do you think Justin Timberlake will start wearing earrings again the way he did during his ‘NSYNC days?
