  • Jenny McCarthy announced her engagement to Donnie Wahlberg back in April on an episode of The View.

She revealed all of the details about her unique proposal, and how Donnie incorporated Jenny’s son Evan when he decided to ask Jenny to marry him.

“I was sitting on the couch doing what every girl does saying, ‘Tell me how much you love me,’ when he left the room,” McCarthy explained about her proposal. “He and my son Evan came running back in holding a piece of paper saying ‘Will’.”

The duo then left the room and came back with a piece of paper that read “you.” “Then [Donnie and Evan] disappeared and ran back in with another piece of paper that read ‘Mary’, but misspelled it without the second R,” Jenny laughed. Donnie then put on a t-shirt that had the word “me” written on it. When Jenny realized what was happening, she started crying tears of happiness.

The couple previously joked that they would not be having a wedding as extravagant as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s. “We’re not getting married in Istanbul with eight million guests,” Donnie said. “I won’t have three dresses. No seven dresses, not going to happen… that’s their thing, good for them,” Jenny added.”

“We’ll have a small wedding in a really beautiful place and we both want do it right this time,” Donnie told Extra. “We’ve both been married before and we want to make it special – this is the last wedding.”

The couple revealed that they haven’t officially started planning the wedding, and are taking this time to enjoy their engagement and time together.
