Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg made their first official appearance as a couple over the weekend when they attended a charity event thrown by “Dancing With The Stars”.

The couple first got attention back in March, when Wahlberg made an appearance on McCarthy’s talk show and the two of them flirted up a storm. McCarthy later wrote a blog post about the amount of flying sparks between them, saying, “Now, I want to talk about what happened between Donnie Wahlberg and me. Let’s just say we visually give “50 Shades of Grey” a run for its money. It gets steamy. I mean like really steamy. Being turned on by a guy is always fun but to have it legitimately happen to you on TV is to be turned back into a 12-year-old. By the time we get into the groundbreaking interview, my face turns fifty shades of RED.”

The news that they were a couple was leaked in July, and a source says they spent Independence Day together.

“Yes, they recently started dating and are having a lot of fun,” the source said. “They had a blast 4th of July hanging out with a bunch of their friends.”

The busy couple both have a lot going on this fall; Wahlberg’s show “Blue Bloods” will be going into season 4, and McCarthy has been tapped to replace Joy Behar on “The View”.
