Jennifer Love Hewitt is expecting her second child soon, and she spoke recently about her decision to show off her belly in a photo shoot, saying it was "empowering" as a mother and as a spokesperson for Palmer's Cocoa Butter.
The 36-year old actress says she used the products--which help with the prevention and soothing of stretch marks during pregnancy--when she was carrying her first child, and told People that she wanted to support the brand this time around by being their spokesperson and model. Hewitt says she also wanted to celebrate the beauty of expectant mothers.
“These are products that I believe in and actually use — they help moms to embrace the natural glow of pregnancy, and I find it so empowering to be able to show my pregnancy off in this way," Jennifer Love Hewitt said.
While Hollywood sometimes makes things difficult for expecting moms with the pressure to look chic at all times--and to lose the baby weight immediately after birth--Hewitt doesn't seem to be too worried about it. In fact, she says she feels she looks her best when she's pregnant. Many women can relate, as despite the swollen ankles and backaches in the later part of the pregnancy, there is that magical glow that comes along with it. Plus, many women embrace a much healthier diet while they're carrying a baby, which makes them feel better.
“I feel my best when I’m pregnant, which means I should probably have 18 children — it won’t happen — but I do feel good. Your body changes so much and there’s a sensuality about that. I say, accentuate the fact that your legs look thinner than they ever have and your boobs look great. Work it!," Hewitt told American Baby.
