  • Jennifer Aniston has sported variations of the same hairstyle for years now, but was spotted recently wearing a side fishtail braid for a change. The ‘do is messy and casual, but really suited the Friends star.

Chris McMillan is Jennifer Aniston’s longtime hair stylist, and after creating the fun ‘do he opted to post in on his Instagram account for all her fans to see.

    “#jenniferaniston #braid #fishtail #summer-hair #unplugged @livingproofinc #lovethisgirl,” the photo is captioned.

Certainly this style isn’t red carpet worthy but it definitely holds promise–that of future possibilities for a beautiful woman who has been in a bit of a fashion rut–at least with regard to her hair. Yes, her layered tresses are gorgeous, but you seldom see her do anything more than wear it loose or pin it up into a simple up do. She has, however, added braids to her repertoire before. She debuted a subtle French braid at the 2009 Oscars and an even edgier version at the 2013 Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards.

It seems Jennifer Aniston and Chris McMillan are working on a project together and that’s the reason behind Jen’s fishtail braid. Called Living Proof, the project is a collaboration involving Aniston and McMillan on a hair care line of products. Jen’s fiance Justin Theroux was even enticed enough by their work to stop by for a peek.

What do you think of Jennifer Aniston’s fishtail braid? Do you think it suits her natural beauty or do you prefer her latest variation of the ‘Rachel’ hairstyle that she’s sported since her days on Friends instead?
