Jamie Sangouthai was the best friend of Lamar Odom and very close to Khloe Kardashian. The 37-year-old appeared frequently on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff, Khloe & Lamar. Now both Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are mourning the loss of their dear friend. Jamie Sangouthai died recently of a drug overdose.

A mutual friend of Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, and Jamie Sangouthai’s–Malika Haqq–confirmed his death on Sunday. She shared a photo on Instagram that includes both Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, along with herself and the deceased.

The photo shows the four friends during what was clearly a much happier time.

“Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed… RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll,” the post is captioned.

Khloe Kardashian weighed in on the passing of Jamie Sangouthai via Twitter on Sunday, after learning the tragic news.

A short time later she shared another Tweet.

Jamie Sangouthai and Lamar Odom were best friends since high school. Jamie was Lamar's best man when he married Khloe Kardashian.

"Lamar is beside himself. This is the worst tragedy," a source says. "They were best friends, like brothers."

"Lamar is going to take this really hard," another source shares.

Khloe Kardashian is likely concerned about how the news of best friend Jamie Sangouthai dying of a heroin overdose will affect Lamar Odom. He has suffered from drug issues off and on for quite some time.

Lamar Odom has yet to issue a statement regarding the death of Jamie Sangouthai. He's no doubt taking the news hard.
