James Holmes, the convicted Colorado movie shooter, was reportedly assaulted by another inmate in prison earlier this month. It was back on October 8th that James Holmes was led through a hallway by an officer, when another inmate took several wings at him. He wasn't injured.
Adrienne Jacobson is a spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Corrections. She says the 27-year-old inmate, Mark "Slim" Daniels, accused of assaulting James Holmes will be disciplined at a hearing that will take place within the prison.
Daniels wrote a letter to The Denver Post, detailing his reasons for attacking Holmes. The media hasn't released any details about the letter.

James Holmes is allowed to spend four hours outside of his jail cell each day. He spends that time in a day hall. There aren't any other inmates in his cellblock.
It was back in July of 2012 that Holmes went on a shooting rampage inside a movie theater in suburban Denver, Colorado. Twelve people died and 70 others were wounded.

James Holmes was convicted of those crimes in August of this year. He was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.
There are likely many people who wish Mark "Slim" Daniels inflicted serious harm upon James Holmes during his recent attack--maybe even worse.
