Omar Shahine points out that a preference that people normally turn off in Internet Explorer is actually a nice plus in IE7.

Most people shut off the setting “Reuse windows for launching shortcuts”, because who in their right mind wants external links to overwrite their current browser window?

No one, that’s who!

Stop answering rhetorical question!

Anyway, you should leave that setting on in Internet Explorer 7, because it acts properly for a tabbed browser, opening those external links in new tabs in the browser you’re already using. And that’s fine with me, probably everybody, and even rhetorical answering guy.
