Google URL Points To Blog Search
I recently wrote on a discovery by several bloggers that the Google bot was requesting non-existant files from root directories lately. Many think this indicates that Google has plans to launch their own blog search engine.
Discuss the future of blog searchin WebProWorld.
Is Google Becoming More Targeted?...
A recently discovered URL, http://www.google.com/blog/, indicates that Google at least has set up a directory on their servers for what may become another alternative to Technorati, daypop, feedster, etc.
The URL right now shows a page that simply reads "test" in the top left corner.
A Google blog search may annex the blog listings from the Google News search, where many blog posts now appear.
Thanks to Blogoscoped for the tip.
