Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are enjoying a sun and surf-loving honeymoon in Mexico. The Vampire Diaries star and his bride are enjoying some time away in the coastal town of Tulum, Mexico.

According to a report from People magazine, Nikki Reed became Mrs. Ian Somerhalder on April 26th at Topanga Canyon in Malibu, California.

The two were first spotted together back in July 2014, following his split from longtime girlfriend and Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev. They got engaged in January.

Ian Somerhalder shared word of their big day via Twitter.

Nikki Reed shared a sweet photo from her and Ian Somerhalder’s honeymoon on Saturday.

“Salty…sandy…sticky…sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human,” she captioned the shot.

This is the first marriage for Ian Somerhalder. It is Nikki Reed’s second. She was married to American Idol contestant Paul McDonald until their divorce in March of 2014.
