IABC Opens Newroom

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)has added a newsroom to its website.

Managed by Marketing and Communications Vice President Joseph Ugalde, the newsroom mirrors corporate web press centers, offering press releases, bios, an image gallery, IABC news coverage, a calendar, and other features. Journalists can sign up to receive news alerts by email or via RSS.

The press release announcing the launch notes that IABC is using PR Newswires MediaRoom tool to manage the site.

The newsroom is the second new element added to the recently redesigned website. A new community-Buzz-was introduced only about a week ago. Buzz lets members report personal and professional news, such as a local chapter’s recognition of a member’s volunteer efforts.
