Actress Robin Wright, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role in Netflix's House of Cards, will also went behind the camera for an episode of the upcoming season.
The New York Times reports:
The director of the tenth episode of the second season is, in fact, Ms. Wright. On camera since she was a teenager, she is for the first time calling the shots, and is deeply engaged by every aspect of the opportunity. Two nights later, she would accept the Golden Globe for best actress in a dramatic series, a shimmering silver gown draped over her lithe, elegant frame, her classic features beaming in surprise during her aw-shucks acceptance speech. But in the editing suite, she was barefoot in jeans, with glasses under a newsboy’s cap.
Jodie Foster, who directed a popular episode of Netflix's Orange is the New Black, also reportedly directed an episodes of House of Cards: Season 2.
There should be some interesting directors' commentaries for this season, if Netflix releases them like it did for Season 1.
David Fincher, who directed the first two episodes of the first season, didn't direct any of Season 2, which debuts on February 14th.
Netflix just announced that it has renewed the show for a third season, which will begin production soon.
