Heidi Klum recently divorced her husband of seven years, singer Seal, and as soon as the news hit the papers, he was telling reporters that his wife should have waited to "fornicate with the help" until the divorce was final. He seemed to be alluding to the fact that Klum had cheated on him, but he later clarified his words and said she had never been unfaithful.
Now that the miscommunication has been cleared up, Klum felt comfortable enough to let Katie Couric in on the truth: she is in love with her bodyguard, Martin Kirsten, and it started when she began to see him in a way she never had before
"I trust him with my children's life," Klum said. "He's a great man . . . and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
Though the timing may be a bit unfortunate--especially for someone so much in the public eye, as Klum is--it's hard to say if this is just a rebound or not. Kirsten has been Klum's bodyguard for four years, and over that time she has trusted him with her own life as well as the safety of her children. That sort of closeness is bound to develop into something more, as Kevin Costner once proved to us.
