  1. Unfortunately, having a meeting with your business employees regarding social media is essential these days–not only for your business reputation but also so you don’t have the federal government coming after you for misconduct.

    Educate yourself on FTC regulations and then thoroughly educate your staff on the consequences of violating these actions.

    One of the problems our business has come across is that the FTC guidelines are entirely too vague. I don’t think they even know what they’re setting guidelines for. My advice: Tred lightly.
