  • Greg Anthony admitted to soliciting a prostitute after he was arrested Friday, which led CBS to suspend the basketball analyst indefinitely.

Scheduled to call Saturday’s game between Michigan State and Maryland, Greg Anthony was pulled from the telecast after the arrest.

A statement was issued by Greg Anthony Saturday apologizing to his wife, family and colleagues.

”I made a mistake,” he said. ”With this lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself. I will work to regain the trust that I have lost, and the first step is saying that I am sorry.”

According to Time magazine, Greg Anthony was suspended indefinitely and will not work for CBS for the remainder of the season, the network said in a statement on Saturday.

Turner Sports followed suit with CBS and also suspended Greg Anthony.

“We will have no further comments at this time,” said Turner Sports.

District of Columbia police told the Associated Press that Greg Anthony was arrested at 5:46 p.m. on Friday inside a room at a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Washington and was released later that evening.

Greg Anthony could face up to 90 days in jail if convicted.
